Coaticook, September 25, 2026 – Parc de la Gorge and Parc Découverte are pleased to announce the results of the 2026 Mobilisation petits bedons campaign. Thanks to the generosity of visitors, local residents, and numerous community partners, a total of $16,000 was raised to support food assistance initiatives for youth in the Coaticook region.
“Over the years, the Little Tummies Mobilization has become a true demonstration of community solidarity. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to the campaign, especially an anonymous donor whose exceptional $10,000 gift gave remarkable momentum to this year’s edition,” said Caroline Sage, Executive Director of Parc de la Gorge and Parc Découverte.
Beyond the amount raised, this initiative provides meaningful and timely support to young people who need it most. “More than twenty students at our school who are facing challenges can benefit from a meal, a meal supplement, and/or a morning snack thanks to thoughtful initiatives like this one. A child who is hungry cannot focus as well and is unable to reach their full potential. This additional support makes a significant difference in their educational success. It truly takes a village to raise a child,” said Francis Larochelle, Principal of Sacré-Cœur School.
Parcs Coaticook extends its sincere thanks to everyone who participated, including families, visitors, volunteers, and community members. Every contribution helped strengthen the network of support surrounding youth in our region.
While donations cannot eliminate all the challenges faced by some families, they provide essential assistance when it is needed most. Building on the success of this year’s campaign, Mobilisation petits bedons will return in 2027 with the same objective: helping local youth, one donation at a time.
