Coaticook, January 22 2025 – This winter, the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook and the Parc Découverte Nature are offering you the chance to create magical and memorable moments with your family and friends. The new Rendez-vous du samedi/Saturday Meet-Ups” programming, formerly “February, Play Outside” and “March, Let’s Unwind,” offers immersive, festive experiences tailored to Quebec’s winter. Presented with the support of Desjardins and the City of Coaticook, the 2025 edition promises to be a must-see event for the region.

 

“Rendez-vous du samedi/Saturday Meet-Ups” provide a unique opportunity to discover or rediscover our parks through fun and inspiring activities. With the help of our partners, we are organizing events that foster human connections, innovation, and community pride. Gather your troops, we’re waiting for you, and we can’t wait to welcome you!” says Caroline Sage, Executive Director of the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook and Parc Découverte Nature.

  LE GLACÉ / The Frozen Fest

Presented by GC BRIEAU, GENEVIÈVE HÉBERT, MNA for Saint-François, and SAIL

February 1, 2025 – Parc Découverte Nature    

Kick off the ice fishing season with a revamped tournament! Three tagged trout will offer enticing prizes: $1500, $500, and $250. If our tagged trout remain elusive, the three largest trout caught in February and March will be rewarded. Additionally, a raffle among all winter visitors will give three lucky winners a $100 SAIL gift card each.

Don’t miss the “Life Under the Ice” activity by GUEPE, an organization that offers outdoor activities aimed at raising awareness and educating the public on biodiversity protection and sustainable development. Also, enjoy Acoatica’s winter version of interactive games and an obstacle course. The first 200 visitors will receive a SAIL water bottle.

L’ÉTOILÉ / The Starlit Night

February 8, 2025 – 5 @ 8 at Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook

Dance under the stars at a silent disco. What’s a silent disco? This unique experience allows each participant to choose between several musical atmospheres using headphones. The musical evening will also feature a DJ on the illuminated ice rink and singer-songwriter Denis Hébert! Add a touch of adventure with the 9-hole illuminated disc golf course! Our hiking trails, fatbike paths, and escape game will also be available. Bring your headlamp, your skates, and let yourself be enchanted by this musical blizzard!

 

L’AMOUREUX / The Lovers

February 15, 2025 – Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook

Treat yourself to an unforgettable Valentine’s Day with an activity of relaxation and serenity. Unwind completely by renting an outdoor spa (18+), a perfect experience for couples seeking tranquility. Enjoy local products at the “village gourmand“ and take a horse-drawn carriage ride.

L’EXPLORATEUR / The Explorer

February 22, 2025 – Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook

Embark on an outdoor adventure with a geocaching activity where the first 100 participants will receive a SAIL water bottle. Learn to spot animal tracks on an excursion with GUEPE or visit the GUEPE booth to learn more about Quebec’s wildlife.

LE FAMILIAL / The Family Day

March 1, 2025 – Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook

During the school break, enjoy a festive day with dog sled rides, sweet treats from the CRIFA mobile sugar shack, face painting for kids, and a storytelling hour around the campfire hosted by the Bibliothèque Françoise-Maurice.
